That's A Wrap

It’s that time a year when every college student in America is getting ready for finals. “The Grandeur” is doing the same, so he provides the reading audience with a quick list of sports figures that are ending their current ventures.
After 11 years with the 76ers, Allen Iverson finally seems to be done. The only surprise seems to be that it actually took this long. It will be interesting to see where he goes but wherever that is they better have a coach that can control him without using too much to control. As for Philly, with a career winning percentage around .250 without him, they better do something quick.
Jake Plummer isn't leaving Denver, but he is leaving the starting spot behind center. Mike Shanahan has now given the job to rookie first-rounder Jay Cutler who is off to a rocky start at 0-2. Denver has also lost their last four, including Sunday’s rout by the Chargers. They are now in a bitter playoff fight with their most experienced quarterback standing on the sideline. Dallas has also made the change exchanging Drew Bledsoe for Tony Romo who has got the Cowboys rolling until he met Brees, Bush and the rest of the New Orleans Saints.
The Red Sox also seem to be ready to kiss goodbye to Japanese pitcher Daisuke Matsuzaka as talk have broken down between the two. Fortuantely for Boston, the $51 million they had to pay just to talk to him is refundable. So back to Japan for Matsuzake and back to chasing the Yankees for the Red Sox.
Come back next time as we talk about the most wonderful time of the year. No it’s not Christmas, it’s Bowl Season.
